OnePlus 8 and OnePlus 8 Pro have begun receiving new updates to OxygenOS with the security patch for April 2020. The updates for both phones bring improvements to the camera, improvements to the network and optimization of the system. The OxygenOS 10.5.7 version of OnePlus 8 in India is currently being modified through an over-the-air ( OTA) update, while the OxygenOS 10.5.8 version of OnePlus 8 Pro.

The company's shared official changelog shows that OxygenOS 10.5.8 is getting the OnePlus 8 Pro via an OTA update. It comes with device enhancements that include changes in touch and interaction experience, improvements in power consumption efficiency, better system stability, along with the April 2020 Android security patch. Stability and compatibility with Bluetooth were also improved. The update also increases the performance and reliability of shooting a camera. Wi-Fi performance and reliability has been enhanced as per network upgrades. Additionally, online games network latency, as well as smoothness, has been optimized.

A report from XDA Developers notes that the same enhancements are also being made to OnePlus 8 via OxygenOS 10.5.7 update, with the exception of the video play effect and the enhancement of the HDR video effect.

OnePlus says this OTA update will be gradual and hit a small percentage of users today, May 14, starting in a few days with a broader rollout.
