Facebook’s redesigned desktop site is now available globally, the firm reported on Friday. Before this update, Facebook's latest version was only available if you opted for it beginning in March and only in some markets, but the company said at the time that a majority of people would get access that month.

In a blog post released today, Facebook says the new site is "now going to be the global web experience for Facebook," adding that "it is faster, easier to use and gives your eyes a break with dark mode."

For those who want to turn on the new interface and automatically activate dark mode, here's how:

1.) Click the down arrow at the end of the upper menu bar to pull up the settings menu for old Facebook.

2.) Click "Switch to New Facebook" button. Press the same down arrow and turn from off to on to dark mode.

Dark mode is, in essence, the new version's standout, but the update also includes another very drastic redesign. The home interface features a new skinnier News Feed, ample empty space on the left and right rails, as well as bigger icons and a menu bar that lets you quickly switch to different sections of the device.
